Oprah Winfrey's AHA (Friday Evening)

Oprah Winfrey's AHA is a two-hour immersive experience made for Sphere in Las Vegas by a global collective of musicians, artists and storytellers. Oprah Winfrey, who traces the idea to U2’s opening night at Sphere in 2023, is live on stage at every performance. “This is not a concert,” the organizers say. They describe it as “part story, part score, part stillness,” and give its intention as “Storytelling and shared humanity, music and meditation, revelation and remembering.”

Appearing live with her are the seven-time Grammy Award winner Jacob Collier, the poet and author Ocean Vuong, the musician Ajeet and the gospel singer Wintley Phipps, with special guests at each performance. The organizers note that special guests are subject to change. Max Richter is musical director and is composing a new score for the room with Jon Hopkins. Jason White directs the choir, Tarell Alvin McCraney writes the story, and the artist Es Devlin and the Plum Village Monks contribute original works. Ethan Tobman directs, Baz Halpin produces, and Live Nation presents.

The show runs about two hours without intermission, and doors open 90 minutes before it begins. Accessible seating, assistive listening and a quiet room are available at every performance.
