San Marcos Sangha

On Friday evenings at 6:30, a group gathers at 822 Valley View West Road in San Marcos, Texas, for what San Marcos Sangha calls its Weekly Sangha Meeting. The sangha is hosted by Dharma Ranch. There is a quiet wrinkle in that arrangement: Dharma Ranch's own website states that it is officially closed, yet the sangha still meets there, week after week.

The evening has a plain shape. It opens with 20 to 30 minutes of silent meditation. A recorded dharma talk follows, running 30 to 45 minutes, and the remaining time is given to discussion. The meeting closes at 8:00 PM Central.

The sangha's motto comes from Adyashanti: "We are birthed into sangha, into sacred community. It is called the world." The line sits at the top of the group's home page, above a schedule made of silence, a recorded teaching and conversation among the people in the room.

The meetings are listed as regular events, and the sangha posts any changes to them in advance. The October 2026 calendar runs every Friday: the 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th.
